Fund-raising event for REFUGE DOGS
My fund-raising event - AVANT NOEL BOUTIQUE - took place on 25th November and I'm just about recovered from the work that went into organising it. My aim - no, my dream - was to make more money than last year's event, which was 715 euros. I thought that if I managed to get this amount up to 1,000 euros it would make me very happy - and help make the lives of the abandonned and maltreated dogs in the local refuge somewhat better. Well, my dream wasn't only realised, it was surpassed. The final count at the end of the day came to over 1,552 euros and I think I reached the ceiling with my jump for joy. I had the help of some wonderful people and I can't thank them enough for their contribution to the event. Now, it's time to sit back and have some me-time and put my sadly neglected house and studio back into some kind of order. It's time for some changes in my life, so it's definitely a case of 'watch this space' - but I shall continue to do my best to support the association that does so much for our poor refuge dogs - Les Amies des Animaux [Tarbes nord]. If you feel you have anything to contribute - dog beds, blankets and even old clothes to help keep the animals warm during the winter months, or fancy joining the team of dog-walkers who do a fabuloous job, please go to the contacts page and get in touch with the Association. Donations, however small, will also be gratefully accepted.
